Good afternoon!
To the leadership of Save Our Seed Outreach Ministries, the parents, families, educators, and to every scholarship recipient joining us tonight—what an honor it is to celebrate with you.
As I was reading over this Scholarship program preparing for this afternoon, I found myself drawn to the very Scripture chosen for this program.
“A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.” — Psalm 22:30.
Because today isn’t simply about helping this year’s students.
It’s about investing in generations that have yet to be born.
So this afternoon I would like to focus on 3 points on what I believe this schloarship program is wanting to let you know.
You Are Someone’s Seed
You didn’t get here by yourself.
You are the product of Prayers ~
Sacrifice ~
Love ~
Correction ~
Faith
Someone planted into your life.
Now someone is planting into your future.
A Seed Has Purpose Before It Has Fruit
A seed doesn’t look impressive.
It doesn’t look like a tree.
But everything the tree will become is already inside the seed.
You may not know exactly who you’ll become.
But God already placed purpose inside you.
College doesn’t create your purpose.
It helps develop it.
Your Success Is Never Just About You
This scholarship isn’t merely an investment in your education.
It’s an investment in every person your life will touch.
The children you’ll raise.
The communities you’ll serve.
The people you’ll mentor.
The lives you’ll encourage.
The prayers you’ll pray.
The doors you’ll open for someone else
One day this scholarship check will be forgotten.
Your textbooks will be outdated.
Your diploma will eventually hang on a wall.
But what you become…
That can influence generations.
Psalm 22 doesn’t simply promise that a seed will exist.
It says:“A seed shall serve Him.”
My prayer isn’t simply that you become successful.
My prayer is that you become significant.
That people meet Jesus because they met you.
That your integrity opens doors.
That your compassion heals people.
That your faith inspires someone else to believe.
Because when your life is lived in service to God…
One scholarship can become one graduate…
One graduate can strengthen one family…
One family can transform one community…
And one community can impact an entire generation.
Congratulations to every recipient.
Congratulations to every parent.
Congratulations to Save Our Seed Outreach Ministries.
May God continue to raise up seeds that will serve Him and be counted for generations.
