About The Founder/CEO
SOS was Birth: ~ In 1983 my current career at a South Side Pentecostal Private School K-1st Grade Teacher flamed a desire to teach K-1st grade in the North St. Louis Area where it was most needed. . We started the Learning to Read Program at the Kossuth COGIC facility. In 1992 the SOS Learning to Read Program was launched. The SOS Scholarship Award began in 2010. This too was birth out of a desire to encourage high school seniors to further their education. Evangelist Smith believe every child should be encouraged to pursue their education. She encouraged all three of her daughters to pursue a college degree and they did!
